About the 2024 Australian Kendo Championships
- The Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR) is the National Sporting Organisation governing Kendo in Australia, and is recognised internationally by the International Kendo Federation (FIK).
- The Australian Kendo Championships (AKC) is the official national championships for Kendo and is held in a different State or Territory each year.
- The taikai (competition) includes team and individual events for both Kyu and Dan levels, as well as individual veterans and team kata events. A seminar and grading will also be held in the days following the competition.
